Most of the Liverpool Plains Shire's public infrastructure is designed, built and maintained by Liverpool PLains Shire Council's Engineering Department. Also referred to as LPSC Works, this department can assist you with information regarding: roads, roundabouts and signs traffic and road safety water and sewerage guttering and footpaths bus seats and shelters private works e.g. road/driveway maintenance,access ramps etc. If you have any enquiries associated with any of the above mentioned facilities please contact the Works Department on (02) 67461755 or in person Monday to Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. Please use the links in the sidebar to the left to access the subsections of this area of the site.
The Main Street Program is part of this service and involved the beautification of the Quirindi Main Street and making it pedestrian friendly. This program was recently completed and provides many improvements to the shopping district.
The provision of traffic facilities such as kerb extension, pedestrian refuges, median islands and roundabouts, are Council's responsibility. This work is targeted to areas of high traffic hazards and funding assistance is sought from the RTA.
Street lighting provides benefits to drivers and pedestrians and Council funds streetlights in the residential areas of the shire.
