Mayor of Liverpool Plains Shire Council, Councillor Andrew Hope, has extended thanks to Tamworth Family Support Service (TFSS) for coordinating the recent Family Fun Days in the Shire.
TFSS arranged both a movie day at the Royal Theatre and the Fun Day at Quirindi swimming pool.
“The Shire community appreciate events such as these and they are popular as evidenced by the 208 people who came through the pool gates on the day. LPSC is proud to support TFSS in such endeavours,” Councillor Hope said.
“The Family Fun Days were free to community members and TFSS also provided fruit, treats and drinks to those who came along. Positive comments received by Council via our facebook page indicate how much our people appreciated the events,” he said.
“TFSS provide valuable resources for the community by way of family services, homelessness and domestic violence services and children’s services. You can find more information about what they do on their website or via their facebook page TFSS,” he continued.
“Thank you TFSS, we look forward to collaborating with you into the future,” Councillor Hope concluded.
