The 3rd annual Liverpool Plains Military Tattoo will be held on Saturday 2 March at Longfield Park Quirindi. It is a free event to attend.
Markets will run between 3 and 7pm, with food and clothes stalls and even a jumping castle. The Military Tattoo ceremony will commence at 7.30pm with fireworks to follow, closing the event.
“Council is delighted with how the Military Tattoo has developed into a family fun event, with a great social atmosphere and something for everyone,” said LPSC Mayor, Councillor Andrew Hope.
“The Tattoo has evolved to showcase military bands in exhibition format as well as paying homage to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We are fortunate that four acclaimed bands, Governor Macquarie’s Memorial Pipe Band, Tamworth Pipe Band, City of Blacktown Pipe Band and Bellinger River District Pipe Band will be performing including the Massed Pipe Bands to complete the event.
“Additionally, Down Under the Kilt Dancers and Fireside Celts will entertain so along with the markets, the jumping castle and the fireworks there is a big program to enjoy,” he said.
“There is still time to book a free, unpowered market site and this can be done online at https://www.liverpoolplainsmilitarytattoo.com.au/market-stalls/,” he continued.
“Reward yourself, family and friends by bringing them along to the Military Tattoo and enjoying a relaxed, entertaining, cultural and social experience,” Councillor Hope concluded.
