According to Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) Mayor, Councillor Doug Hawkins OAM, $70,000 funding successfully gained from the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program, has allowed Council to complete an amenities upgrade at Quirindi’s Bell Park.

“The project included installing two new female amenities, including a baby change table, plus installing unisex disabled access amenities, and a pathway connecting to the eastern side entrance.

“The baby change table will be helpful and beneficial for parents who utilise the nearby children’s playground while the improved facility itself will better serve other community members and the many travellers on the Werris Creek Road who pull up here for a break,” he said.

“I thank Federal Member and Deputy PM, Barnaby Joyce, for supporting Council’s funding application for this project,” Councillor Hawkins concluded.
