What to place in your yellow lidded (recycling) bins

All the items listed below can be placed in your recycling bin together.  Items in the recycling bin will be collected, sorted and made into new products.  It is vital for the recycling process that only the correct items go into the recycling bins.  Inclusion of non-recyclable items can cause processing issues and may result in recoverable resources going to landfill.  Please do not place recyclable items in plastic bags as these bags can cause damage to the machines that sort the recyclable items.

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Plastic milk containers
  • Juice, soft drink, detergent bottles and containers
  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • Empty Aerosol containers and clean foil
  • Milk and juice cartons
